Water Stability Improvement of Acid Fine Aggregate-Based Asphalt Concrete

چکیده

In general, acid aggregates are not used in combination with asphalt concrete because of their poor compatibility the binder, which typically results a scarce water stability concrete. present study, feasibility new approach based on granite fine aggregate alkaline limestone coarse and Portland cement filler has been assessed. The mineral chemical compositions these three materials have first analyzed compared. Then, effect different amounts (0%, 25%, 50%, 75% 100% total by weight) mechanical performance considered. Asphalt designed using Marshall method, indexes this material, including indirect tensile strength (ITS), measured together related (namely (RMS) ratio (TSR)). indicate that can balance drawback caused aggregate. good performances when amount common powder replaced is less than 75%.
